Frequently Asked Questions

We understand this can be a new concept, so here are some common questions

Question 1: Does Insurance cover any of this cost?

You cannot submit to your provincial medical plans any part of the monthly membership fee. To our knowledge, you cannot bill any of this to your private insurance plans. This is 100% private pay

Question 2: Can this doctor bill my visits to provincial insurance plans?

No, our doctors cannot bill any portion of your visit to provincial insurance plans. A family doctor who is in our program cannot charge private services and public services on the same patient. A family doctor could be a part of our program and still see patients outside of our program and those patients would be covered under provincial health plans.

Question 3: Can I quit the monthly membership fee at any time?

Yes you can quit the membership plan at any time, but you will lose all access to the programs as soon as you cancel and access to your medical doctor.

Question 4: How do we receive the information or visits?

All sessions, not including family doctor visits, whether in group or private are virtual. Your practitioner will have dedicated private virtual meeting rooms that you can access easily without any additional cost to you. Family Doctor visits can be in person.

Question 5: Are these practitioners certified in Canada?

Yes all practitioners are certified and in good standing with their provincial colleges and boards.

Question 6: Can my spouse or children be part of this plan for the same price?

Yes your spouse and up to two children can be seen for the same price. If there are more than two children, the monthly fee will increase slightly.

Question 7: Why would I pay for this when I have private insurance?

Most private insurance plans will pay a portion of a visit and have a cap on how many times you can be seen per year. In our program, there is no limit to how many group sessions you can attend or the information that is available. We feel our product is more extensive and in line with what people actually need to remain healthy.

Question 8: Are specialists covered under this program?

Not at this time. We only provide family doctors. We hope to incorporate the knowledge and expertise of certain specialities at a later time.

Hey, I'm Dr. Josh!

I've worked as a chiropractor in the healthcare industry for over 17 years, with more than 10,000 one-on-one patient interactions. I genuinely love helping people, but I've grown frustrated with how healthcare has become less efficient and less effective.

That’s why I started DigitalCareMD—an alternative to mainstream healthcare in Canada. To be clear, I appreciate our healthcare system, but it often falls short in promoting true health; and accessing quality care from overworked doctors can be challenging.

I have partnered with a network of family doctors, counsellors, dieticians, physiotherapists and chiropractors to create a system where you can access a range of virtual services to help you lose weight, start an exercise program, rehab from an injury, and cope with mental health struggles. All in addition to getting access to a family doctor.

And the cost? Just slightly more than what you pay for cable TV.

It is my wish, those people who want access to a range of services, can receive them and those who truly want to be healthy, can have the guidance they need to do so. I hope to see you on the inside!
